Jurassic trail

The Jurassic trail is a spectacular trail route starting in West Bay that mostly follows the coastal paths that make up the Jurassic coastline, new routes for 2023.

An event with distances to suit most runners, starting near to West Bay (On the Jurassic coast) the routes head towards Lyme bay along the cliff paths that make up the spectacular gateway to the Jurassic coastline, and out towards Weymouth bay along the coast to Burton Bradstock.

A multi surface run to include tarmac, gravel paths and the coastal footpaths.

With three routes to choose from, an easy 10 km a more difficult 11.8 km and a Half marathon combining the two shorter routes.

Much of the run will have sea views either out towards Lyme Regis or Weymouth Bay.

Strictly limited to 500 runners.

Please bring some change, we are not sure about the mobile networks for card payments.

11.8 km (7.45 Miles) Harder route (West)

Although the routes are comprehensively marked with route arrows on occasion people move these signs, we suggest downloading the route to a phone or navigation device just in case you need route assistance on the day.

COURSE SPLITS / CUT OFFS:

There are no cut offs at this event.

FEED STATIONS:

We try to have a varied mixed at the feed stations, these will include: –

  • Energy drink
  • Water (V)
  • Bananas (V)

FEED STATION LOCATIONS:

Feed 1 : 5 km

Feed 2 : 10 km

Feed 3 : 15 km

Please note we do not supply gels and we cannot guarantee the products do not contain nuts, gluten, or wheat.

If you have specific food tolerances you will need to carry your own supplies.

SPECIFIC EVENT INFORMATION:

Registration will be from 0800 – 0945

The HALF MARATHON event will start at 0930

The 11.8km and 10km event will start at 1000

There will be a small safety brief on the start line just before the race begins, if you miss the briefing, you will not be able to compete.

EACH RUNNER WILL RECIEVE:

  • Aid stations.
  • First aid in the event centre and throughout the event course.

Whether you are setting yourself a fitness target, raising money for your good cause or just coming to join the hundreds of other riders who are riding for their own goals, you know you can also ride just for fun.

(The event is limited of 500 runners over all the distances).

On entering the event you will receive a booking confirmation email.

Further event details will be sent to your registered email address before the event.

Event updates will arrive approx. 2 weeks before an event, but everything you need to know is contained within these event pages.

Transfers, deferrals, and entrant swaps will close 1 month before the event, when the event sells out, we will operate a waiting list.

If a space becomes available, you will be invited via email to enter.

We always welcome volunteers at our events so if you fancy joining the team for the day or even a few hours at registration or with parking, please get in touch. You will be rewarded for your efforts and will be able to choose an event to enter for free, that is any event and any distance.

You do not need to help at a Sportive, if you help at any of our events, running, cycling, triathlons you can enter multiple events for free. (Dependent on time given).
