Route description

Our EXPERIENCES are about more than just the destinations, we will take our time and enjoy all that is around us.
There may be time for sightseeing around our destinations in the late afternoon/evenings, with so many old castles and beautiful churches to look at, it will just enhance the experience of the trip, travel to these sites will be included but entrances fee's may be payable. Or you can choose to sit in the sun and enjoy the local wine.
•Day 1: Arrive Sarria (Overnight stay and prepare for the next day). (Wednesday)
•Day 2: Walk to Portomarin, 22 km. (Thursday)
•Day 3:Walk to Palas de Rei, 25 km. (Friday)
•Day 4:Walk to Arzua, 29.5 km. (Saturday)
•Day 5:Walk to Rua, 18 km. (Sunday)
•Day 6:Walk to Santiago de Compostela, 22.5 km. (Monday)
•Day 7:Onward travel (Tuesday).


It’s very difficult to find rooms that you will have to yourself.
This can be done but will include extra costs (single supplement).
Unless otherwise stated you will be sharing a room.
Sometimes you may be in a shared room of three (All of the same gender).
If you’re coming with a friend or a companion to share the experience with we will room you together if you inform us first.

The Pilgrim Passport and the Pilgrim Certificate

The Pilgrim Passport or “Credencial” is the document of the Camino de Santiago.
For the official passport we will need to walk 100 km.
It needs to be stamped each walking day in several places accommodation, tourism offices, Churches and monuments or restaurants, bar and museums.

With all our experiences you can expect assistance and vehicle support should you require taking some time off from the walking.
As an entrant we kindly ask that you:

6 Nights’ accommodation in small hotels and hostels, twin rooms where possible.


6 Breakfasts, typically consisting of coffee, bread rolls, ham and cheese, with butter and jam.


Baggage transfers between hotels, so you can concentrate on the walk.
